We are happy to announce that one of our former MSc students, Gitte Furdal Damm, has had her MSc thesis re-shaped for a peer-reviewed publication in our field's core journal: Safety Science. The paper Dark knights: Exploring resilience and hidden workarounds in commercial aviation through mixed methods (sciencedirect.com) is based on Gitte's original thesis: How reliance on resilient performance 'hides' or even contributes to system brittleness (LUP Student papers) and for this new analysis Gitte has invited the safety scholars Riana Steen and James E. Normal to, together with Gitte and her supervisor Johan Bergström, co-author the article.
