My name is Johan Bergström and I work as a PhD Student at the Leonardo da Vinci Lab. I have a B.Sc. in Fire Safety Engineering as well as a M.Sc. in Risk Management Engineering, both from Lund University.
Please check out my personal homepage, with more up to date information about my work.
My research is focused on unexpected and escalating situations; how these can be modelled, understood, managed, and practiced. Financed by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency I work with research questions on how teams from different backgrounds adapt to unexpected and escalating situations and how such adaption can be aided in terms of coordination strategies and decision support. In the research we work closely together with partners from e.g. aviation, health care, civil crisis management, the maritime industries.
My job also involves a lot of teaching. I represent the Leonardo da Vinci lab in teaching topics as patient safety, just culture, accident theory, Crew Resource Management, and Risk Management. My presentation slides are continuously published at our presentation page.
In my research and teaching work I am also closely connected to the department of Fire Safety Engineering and Systems Safety, at Lund University.
